Who I work with
I work with people of all ages who face a wide range of life situations. Clients commonly seek assistance with anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, and anger management. I enjoy working with all ages to build education, career, and life plans.
One of the areas I specialize in is working with children, adolescents, and families. I also possess significant experience working with people who have developmental disabilities. I enjoy teaming up with language artists and interpreters.
Trauma is another area that I specialize in. I draw upon a number of evidence-based practices that can quickly help clients resolve traumatic experiences such as automobile accidents, domestic violence, scary medical procedures, or natural disasters.
What to expect
I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation where you can ask questions and explore whether we are a good fit.
In our initial therapy session we will begin to develop a plan for how I can help you accomplish your goals. Along the way I will ask you who you are, what is most important to you, where you’ve been, and where you want to go. Together we will analyze the skills and strengths that have gotten you to this point in your life.
Appointments are typically 45-to-50 minutes long. Rarely they may last 60 minutes. This is your time — and you are the driver of your therapy. I will provide a nonjudgmental, safe, and trusting environment.
